Responsibilities
- Manage project team to deliver a successful project
- Schedule and assign projects and tasks to inspectors
- Monitor and document construction activities, ensuring projects are completed per the client’s expectations
- Work with project managers to contract and manage the inspection/construction observation for all projects
- Communicate and coordinate with contractors’ staff
- Review and interpret construction contract documents
- Maintain notebooks for all field notes and field measurements
- Measure and record completion of work
- Track pay item quantities
- Able and willing to work a shift schedule and/or flexible schedule as required to support the workload, as well as in inclement weather
- Prepare and submit as-built plan sets
- Work as an inspector, as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision, efficiently schedule and manage time, and be able to multi-task and prioritize
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn and be part of a team
- Valid driver’s license required
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Experience with land surveying preferred
